Improv Marathon featuring We're From Here, Airwolf and FOUR
We’re From Here
We're From Here is a powerhouse trio of ladies who explode into an improvised universe based on the single suggestion of a location. The seasoned improv vets fearlessly tackle issues of age, gender, nationality and anything else that comes up, while thoroughly examining relationships that arise in each scene. Their shows are energetic, compelling, and convincing; filled with hilarious situations and characters that flow from the familiarity these three best friends feel on stage with each other. We’re From Here has been a featured group at the Big City Improv Festival in Toronto, the Boston Improv Festival, the Spontaneous Combustion Festival in Atlanta, the Toronto Improv Festival, the Chicago Improv Festival, the Ladies Are Funny Festival and Out of Bounds Festival, both held in Austin, TX.
Airwolf: Let’s Go Back To Your Place
What's the worst living experience you've ever had? Was it that haunted apartment you found through Craigslist? What about the time in college when your roommate always watched you sleep? Or maybe it was that year you lived on a hippie commune in the middle of the desert? Airwolf takes your hellish tales of crazy roommates, weird neighbors and other outrageous living situations and spins them into a fast, funny and fully improvised show. Please label your food if you don't want us to eat it. Members of Airwolf have appeared on The Colbert Report, ESPN, Comedy Central, The Onion News Network, Nickelodeon, and Adult Swim, among many others.
FOUR improvisers, ONE suggestion, TWENTY-FIVE minutes of laughter about the human condition. FOUR combines DSI Comedy Theater's famous fast comedic play with the creation of thoughtful characters and complex relationships. It experiments with formats that explore the group dynamics of friends, lovers, and the everyday bonds we form with each other. In its current project, FOUR performs "Dinner for Four," an adaptation of Jason Chin's "Dinner for Six" format as presented at IO Theater in Chicago. In "Dinner for Four," couples prepare for a gathering that might have consequences for everyone. You will definitely want seconds and thirds of this comedic foursome.
